About Lost Coast Brewery
What started the Lost Coast Brewery? A great idea, in 1986, from two young women. When Wendy Pound and Barbara Groom thought "What could be better than making your own beer?" Well, making your own beer and selling it! They got their hops in a row and walked away from their 9 to 5 jobs as a marriage & family counselor and a pharmacist to pursue their beer brewing dreams!
After much brewing and planning, including plenty of visits to pubs in England and Wales, Wendy & Barbara opened the Lost Coast Brewery & Cafe in Eureka, California. The 100-year-old building, a restored wood frame structure built in 1892, was purchased from its original owners -- The Fraternal Order of the Knights of Pythias. Don't worry, you don't need a secret handshake to get in, just a thirst for great beer and great food!
After 10 years in business, with an expanding line of great beers, a second bottling and production site has been added to keep up with customer demand. The Lost Coast Brewery restaurant is thriving and the owners are rightfully proud of the accomplishment. Proving that hard work can pay off, you can bet they are looking forward to serving you your next beer!

Downtown Brown
(ABV 5.0%)
A smooth, full-bodied nut brown ale, lightly hopped with a hint of roasted and crystal malts. This ale is dark in colour without the heavy taste of porter or stout.
Tangerine Wheat
(ABV 5.0%)
A refreshing citrus ale, lost coast tangerine wheat combines the lost coast harvest wheat with natural tangerine flavours. brewed with a comination of wheat and crystal malts and finished with perle hops.
Alleycat Amber Ale
(ABV 5.5%)
a full-flavoured amber ale made with roasted caramel malts. richly coloured and medium-bodied, alleycat is an assertive blend of malts with a sprightly cascade of hops.
Double Trouble IPA
(ABV 8.5%)
hazy amber in colour with a creamy white head. the aroma is floral, citrusy hops. when you taste it, a nice malt backbone is there to balance all the citrusy hops, the finish is pleasantly bitter.
INDICA IPA
(ABV 6.5%)
Indica is a hoppy, full-bodied ale. It has a higher than average alcohol content balanced by radical bittering from Colombus hops, then dry hopped with generous amounts of Willamette and Centennial hop flowers.
Raspberry Brown
(ABV 5.0%)
award-winning downtown brown ale, with it's rich CHOCOLATE malt flavour, is enhanced with an infusion of real raspberry.
Lost Coast Pale Ale
(ABV 5.2%)
this highly hopped california style pale ale showcases the brewer's art of balancing malt and hop characteristics. a generous addition of munich malts balances the bittering from chinook hops, and cascade hops round out the flavour profile.
Scotch Ale
(ABV 8.5%)
rich, malty and unusually sweet, which can be suggestive of a dessert. complex secondary malt flavours prevent a one-dimensional impression.
Great White
(ABV 4.8%)
A Crisp beer with a hint of citrus, made with two-row malted barley, unmalted wheat, a secret blend of Humboldt herbs, crystal clear mountain water and ale yeast.
8 Ball Stout
(ABV 5.8%)
not for the faint hearted! this stout rewards the palate with robust flavours of raosted malts (malts are roasted like coffee beans) and heavy hops. a creamy smooth surprise.
Winterbraun
(ABV 8.0%)
a full-bodied, brown ale with a rich chocolate taste created roasted chocolate and caramel malts. topped with czech saaz hops to give it a spicy flavour and aroma.
25th Anniversary Belgian Ale
(ABV 8.8%)
The 25th Silver Anniversary Belgian Ale is a Belgian strong ale brewed with Belgian and American Malts and perfectly balanced with European hops. The light amber colored ale is spiced with coriander and orange peel and brown Belgian candi sugar is added for extra flavour
