CoConspirators Brewing Company…
The brainchild of two couples – Jacqui Sacco, Tim Martin, Maggie and Deon Smit, the origins of Co-Conspirators Brewing Company started off as hobby, but quickly became an obsession.
They met at the Merri Mashers homebrew club through the great conduit of craft beer. Along the way they educated their palettes by exploring local and international craft beers of every style and challenging ourselves to recreate their favourites. As our confidence grew and mixed with a healthy dose of curiosity this soon was replaced with building their own recipes. At the same time brewing started to take over their houses with simple beer kits brewed on the kitchen sink turning into full blown all-grain home brew setups that took over the entire garage.
After enjoying the success of winning several home brew competitions, CoConspirators were given the exciting opportunity to re-brew their beloved recipes on a commercial scale. After seeing their beers being enjoyed in the hands of the public, the seed (grain) was planted and over a celebratory pint it was decided - they were starting their own brewing company!
CoConspirators are an independent brewing company that has started their journey partnering with great brewers across Melbourne to grow and learn from the craft beer family. They have been welcomed into this fraternity with open arms and every person in the industry they have met along the way has given them a huge amount of support. They have a strong affinity and belief in the local community and always wanting to have fun they decided on the name Co-Conspirators Brewing Company. They want to conspire with others to make great beer.
Having a great affection for hops they couldn’t help themselves and knew they had to launch with a West Coast US IPA but rest assured that they have many styles and recipes close to their hearts that they can’t wait to share.
Their conspiring with others won’t be limited to just other brewers and breweries; they hope to conspire with other great local producers in the future to create some unique and different beers - but more on that down the track!

Matriarch Hazy IPA
(ABV 6.5%, IBU 48)
She may look like your mum on a big night out but the Matriarch is much more than meets the eye: a sheep dressed up in lambs clothing, slightly hazy and all foam on top. The juiciest rumours surround her life but they pale in comparison to the truth.She’s generous with her perfume like this brew is with aromas of citrus, pineapple and stone fruit. She should be bitter from all she’s seen and done, but instead she is a fresh, hopped up juicy number that’s full bodied in every sense of the word.
